1972 - 1976 Council Member as Independent Candidate

1976 -1980 Elected member of the People Progressive Party, appointed as Minister of Works, Communication and Trade. February 1st, 1977 appointed as Chief Minister and Minister of Works, Communications and Development. With effect from July 4th , 1977 responsibility for Employment Matter, Immigration Policy and Work Permits was revoked.

1980 – 1981 Elected member of the Anguilla National Alliance Party, appointed as Opposition Member,

1981 -1984 Elected Member of the Anguilla National Alliance Party, appointed as Opposition Member

1984 – 1989 Elected Member of the Anguilla National Alliance Party, appointed as CM and Minister of Communications, Labour and Agriculture on 5th April 1984. Appointed CM and Minister of Home Affairs, Finance, Tourism and Economic Development on 22nd February 1985. Appointed as CM and Minister of Home Affairs, Tourism and Economic Development on 7th October 1985.
