1967-1972 Member of the Island Council
1972 – 1976 Elected Member of the People Progressive Party and Member for Valley South. Mr Rey was the Chairman of Works, Commerce, Industry, Civil Aviation and Communications Committee. A Road was named in his honour and awarded Badge of Honour and The Queen’s Certificate in 2002 (posthumously).
